Where do the crossed out prices (the "original prices") on the page come from?

These "original prices" are also called "public prices":


  • The law requires the justification of these prices, though it's still rather flexible: the public price sometimes corresponds to the manufacturer's recommended price, and sometimes to the average price found among the various distributors.


We strive to publish the most "fair" and realistic public prices possible but it can be extremely complicated for some types of products.
